I've got a feelin' we're foolin'...
We're back for the new year, rehearsals are underway and we're very excited to be preparing for our next gig - A Feelin' You're Foolin' on Wednesday 8 March!
Named for one of the sprightly musical moments in the iconic Singin' In The Rain, the event is a lunchtime performance in which we'll transform the Colyer-Fergusson concert-hall into a dance-hall, filled with classics of the repertoire including In The Mood, Pennsylvania 6-5000 and medleys from My Fair Lady and, of course, Singin' In The Rain.
Those of you who came to our performance back in 2014 (pictured above) will recall a hall buzzing with live music and people dancing - and we're hoping for more of the same in seven weeks' time. You're encouraged to bring your dancing-shoes, and period costume is entirely optional but very welcome! Find out more about the event online here, or check out the event page on Facebook here.
There are plans afoot to do something similar again in early June, so keep your eye on our social media and we'll let you know more as it all comes together. In the meanwhile, and with the strains of Blue Moon ringing in our ears from rehearsal, we wish everyone a (late) Happy New Year, and look forward to seeing you and your dancing-shoes in March!
