The Minervettes join us in rehearsal
Yesterday brought us together with The Minervettes, the ladies' close-harmony group, for the first time as we prepare in earnest for 'A Tomfoolery Christmas' in two weeks' time.
The ladies of the Minervettes will be joining us to sing Puttin' On The Ritz and The Continental, and yesterday was the first opportunity to put them and the band together - and splendid it was!
You can hear them - and us! - on Wednesday 14 December, as we take to the foyer-stage at 1.10pm for a selection of vintage swing numbers; Roberto will also be stepping up to the microphone from the trombone section for several tunes, including Minnie the Moocher.
Who knows, there may even be some choreography... We're sure the event will go with a swing - make sure you bring your dancing-shoes!
