Great night at the Summer Ball
Terrific night last Saturday, as the band stormed the main stage at the Kent Union Summer Ball and had quite the largest crowd we've ever had dancing in the main marquee.
With the players in terrific form, a hot night was matched by equally hot jazz, as the band ripped through a robust, crowd-pleasing set; singer Steph Richardson shimmied on stage to dazzle and delight the enthusiastic crowd; Hot-Lips Joe Prescott tore through some vertiginous solos, and the band rose to the occasion.
Thanks to everyone who came along, supported, heckled (!) and danced; we're back in two days' time with 'The Golden Age,' a lunchtime set in Colyer-Fergusson Hall at 1.10pm; bring your dancing shoes!
